About Me

As of April 2026, I am 39 years old and have been programming for almost two decades, with around 13 years of professional experience. I started my career as an Oracle database developer and spent most of my time working in large data‑warehouse environments, Big Data reporting systems, and full‑stack projects across various languages and technologies.

Since 2020, I am a state‑certified computer science expert for software development. Over the years, I have built ETL systems, desktop applications, web applications, backend logic, frontend interfaces, and even game‑related tools. I enjoy understanding systems deeply and building things from scratch when it makes sense — especially when performance or security matters.

One thing I noticed throughout my career: many systems make life unnecessarily complicated. ORMs, heavy frameworks, strict datatype systems, licensing limits, connection throttling, and complex configuration steps often slow developers down instead of helping them. This inspired me to create a database that is simple, fast, predictable, and free from artificial limitations.

That idea eventually became the FODB — a database I originally built for my own private projects. Before FODB, I also developed an encryption tool and even a small JRPG. I still enjoy game development, especially Unity/Godot and VR‑related UI concepts.

Outside of programming, I enjoy nature‑related hobbies like fishing, camping, and kayaking. I’m also very interested in renewable energy, especially solar systems, hydrogen storage, and super‑capacitors. If you share similar interests, feel free to reach out.

Because I work full‑time and develop FODB in my free time, progress sometimes slows down — but I always return with phases of high productivity. Most core functionality is already stable, and I continuously improve the system whenever I can. If you encounter bugs, please be patient — I will fix them as soon as possible.

About the FODB

FODB installs in under a minute and requires no configuration. Download, unzip, run as admin, add antivirus exceptions if needed — done.

Every version includes a command‑line interface for programmatic use, and a small SQL editor that covers most core features. All other functionality is available through SQL statements.

The database uses a single datatype (VARCHAR) with very large limits, supports millions of rows, and is optimized for high‑volume data processing. It avoids licensing restrictions, artificial bottlenecks, and unnecessary complexity.

FODB is designed for developers who want full control, predictable behavior, and raw performance — without the overhead of ORMs, drivers, or complex setup steps.

If you need more tables, simply duplicate the database folder. If you need more performance, call the core directly. If you need flexibility, use aliases or dynamic SQL. FODB is built to stay out of your way.
